Kirchberg | Vorderer Sonnberg
This chalet in Kirchberg was developed over a period of three years with instinct and consistency. The interior design combines traditional references to the materials of the surrounding area with contemporary flair; doors and furniture made of black pine accentuate and subdivide the rooms. Old spruce wood, oak and waxed steel were crafted along with Valasian granite and textiles – primarily loden, linen and deerskin.
Time and time again, sculptures and objects from trips to Bali or Paris crop up; for instance, an old castle door found its purpose as a bar in the wine cellar. The finely-tuned mix of materials combined with linear modern forms and unusual surfaces lends the chalet its unique character.
